The Hustle is a catchall name for some disco dances which were popular in the 1970’s. Today it mostly refers to the unique partner dance done in the ballrooms and nightclubs to disco music. It is a fusion of swing and disco.

It was famously danced in the movie Saturday Night Fever which increased its popularity even further as a social dance.
